I’ve got good news, bad news and then some more good news.

Good news first! Dustin has signed on for a new film role playing the character Kyle in “Repeaters”, directed by Carl Bessai. I’ll leave it to Dustin to tell you about the film and role in his next blog or vlog posting which may well come from set. Shooting begins next week in Canada.

Bad news. Because of this new role, unfortunately we have to postpone the next live chat which was originally scheduled for this coming Sunday.

More good news. The re-scheduled date for the chat will be Sunday, February 21, 2010 beginning at 1:00 pm PDT. The chat date has been updated in the utility that we use to run the chats, so everybody who has signed up already for an auto-reminder e-mail should still be signed up for the reminder, but for the new date and time. If you haven’t signed up yet, you can do so by going here and entering your e-mail address.

Dustin hopes to post from set during down time, but as of now we’re still not entirely sure how reliable an internet connection he will have, what his schedule will look like or anything to provide any assurance of how accessible he will be.

Thank you to those who submitted videos for the Date with Dustin contest. Dustin will talk about the submissions in a future post as soon as his schedule permits. The videos were great fun to watch and I hope to share them publicly once announcements are made about them.

Hello all!

We’ve heard from a few people who are working on submissions for the latest video competition: Go On A (Kinda creepy) Date With Dustin! (Whom will not be present for said creepy date), but are anxious because they won’t make today’s (December 20) deadline for submissions. SO…we’re extending the deadline to allow more time and increase the fun quotient. Maybe Dustin is coming with you on a Christmas or New Years Eve date?

New Deadline: Sunday, January 3, 2010 by midnight PDT.

If you’ve submitted a video but have not received an e-mail from me (Andre-Webmaster) acknowledging it, that means I didn’t get it. I’ve heard that some of the videos are too large to attach to e-mails. There are lots of options to submit your videos - please get in touch with me if you’re having problems with your submissions.

Time to to open up the ol’ bathroom-stall phonebook, ’cause I’m lookin’ for a good time.

So my trip to England was cut short, and I missed out on a lot of the great sights to see in London, which got me thinking: “If only I had some sort of fan-created guide to all the great spots around this town, so I could at the very least live vicariously through them, imagining I actually went to those places and got the full experience…If only…”

THE LATEST VIDEO COMPETITION IS SIMPLE: Show me a good time! Make a video of you and I on our first date, hitting all the hot spots in your hometown, wherever you live.

“But Dustin…”  You annoyingly interrupt, “How can I take you on a date if you live in a top-secret underground government training facility-of-secrets off the California Coast?”

…Good question.

Bring along a photo of me, an actor/friend playing me, your pet dressed like me, a voodoo doll stuffed with the dead skin cells you’ve meticulously collected off of every personally autographed photo you’ve obsessively ordered from this website over the past three years of me, whatever. Basically, as long as you and I are together in the video, seeing the world, it can pretty much be anything you want.

Winners receive a personal, live web-chat with yours truly for you and your friends! As well as some other goodies…
